What do we want?
Peace.
What do we want?
Peace.
When do we want it?
NOW!
These stones represent young people who were killed by gun violence.
Oh, they fighting right here.
You can't guess when violence is going to happen.
Yo, yo, yo.
We'll go two weeks without a shooter and then we'll get three shooters in one day.
Every dot here is someone's life.
We have to be serious about change.
I'm trying to heal my community.
Relieve them from the trauma that we experienced.
You want to see your community become better.
Help me in this fight.
We try to be in front of the violence instead of being behind.
Show consistency.
Show our presence, engage with the community.
We all have the same goal.
To help young people repair the harm.
I try to give them a different perspective to what the streets can look like, what life can look like.
That inspires them, gives them hope.
That makes me feel wonderful.
I'm determined to make a change.
